IPAF MEWPS for Managers (MM)

IPAF MEWPs for Managers is aimed at those who plan, supervise, or manage work at height with Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs). Can be completed via eLearning or at an our IPAF-approved training centre (one day course).

The 1-day IPAF MEWPs for Managers training course is targeted at project managers, foremen and supervisors working in a broad range of industries such as construction, facilities management, retail, airports, and arboriculture on what is required to prepare for and safely coordinate various types of powered access platforms or Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) when working at height.

Companies that use MEWPs need to know what their management and legal responsibilities are and how to ensure the most effective use of MEWPs. This IPAF MEWPs for Managers course covers what managers need to know for safe and effective use of MEWPs on site, including planning the job, conducting a risk assessment, selecting the right equipment for optimum cost-efficiency, and mitigating all possible risks.

E-Learning

The eLearning version of the IPAF MEWPs for Managers course enables candidates to undertake the tuition in convenient sections and pass the online course at a time and place of their choosing, on compatible PCs and tablet devices. It utilises sophisticated facial recognition across the online training and evaluation session to ensure the candidate’s identity and to prevent any attempt to obtain the qualification through fraudulent means.

Entry requirements: Delegates must have a good understanding of English at management level.

On successfully completing this course, you’ll receive an IPAF MEWPs for Managers certificate. All IPAF certification is issued electronically via ePAL.  The International Powered Access Federation licence is recognised internationally.

Delegates will be required to download the IPAF ePAL app onto their device to access any certification they hold with IPAF prior to the training taking place.

Should a physical PAL card and/or certificate be required, this must be requested at time of booking and will be charged at an additional cost.

Assessment details

The qualification is assessed through a theory assessment paper which the learner must successfully pass or online test if e-learning course. Once completed the delegate will be awarded the IPAF MEWPS for Managers (MM) qualification.
